Work where winter is part of the adventure. We’re hiring seasonal and year-round hospitality staff to join our team for Winter 2025/2026! This role blends guest service, lodge and property upkeep, and hands-on winter maintenance — from greeting skiers and travelers to clearing snow, managing property needs, and keeping a warm and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities

Winter Seasonal & Year-Round Hospitality Staff — Winter 2025/26

We are currently hiring part-time and full-time team members for the Winter 2025/26 season (and beyond) at our mountain lodge and hostel.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy meaningful interactions, a dynamic work environment, and the unique experience of living and working in the mountains. You don’t need to be an extrovert to thrive here — but a strong work ethic, empathy, clear communication, attention to detail, and flexibility are essential.

Position Overview

Team members work across multiple areas of daily operations, ensuring guests have a comfortable, clean, and welcoming experience. Winter brings its own set of challenges and rewards — from snow management to welcoming winter adventurers, including skiers and snowboarders.

Key Responsibilities

Reception

  • Answer phones and manage reservations

  • Welcome and assist guests with any needs that may arise

  • Maintain the safety and comfort of the hostel environment

Lodge & Property Upkeep

  • Clean and turn over guest rooms

  • Maintain all common areas

  • Handle laundry, restocking, and periodic deep cleaning

  • Perform winter-specific maintenance tasks, including: Shoveling and snow blowing walkways, entrances, decks, and parking areas. Addressing ice buildup and other winter safety concerns. Responding to weather-related property issues.

Breakfast & Bar Service

  • Set up and maintain breakfast during morning shifts

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and inventory

  • Provide light bar service during afternoon/evening shifts

  • Preparing our recipes for our daily continental breakfast


Additional Details

We are hiring part-time and full-time staff. Please include your availability in your cover letter.

Sample shifts (flexible):

  • Morning: 6:30 am–10:30 am or 6:30 am–2:30 pm

  • Evening: 2:00 pm–10:00 pm or 5:00 pm–10:00 pm

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour

Winter Work Environment

Winter at the hostel is beautiful but demanding. Ideal candidates are:

  • Comfortable working outside in cold and snowy conditions

  • Capable of safely shoveling snow for extended periods (minimum 30 minutes) and willing to operate or be trained to operate a snowblower

  • Willing to respond to weather-related challenges (icy paths, heavy snowfall)

  • Calm and resourceful under pressure — because winter in the mountains can be unpredictable!
