This role blends guest service, lodge and property upkeep, and hands-on day-to-day operations — from welcoming hikers and travelers to keeping the property running smoothly and creating a relaxed, welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities

Seasonal & Year-Round Hospitality Staff

We are currently hiring part-time and full-time team members for the 2026 season (and beyond) at our mountain lodge and hostel.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy meaningful interactions, a fast-moving environment, and the unique experience of living and working in the mountains. You don’t need to be an extrovert to thrive here — but a strong work ethic, empathy, clear communication, attention to detail, and flexibility are essential.

Position Overview

Team members work across multiple areas of daily operations, ensuring guests have a comfortable, clean, and welcoming experience. Summer brings a steady flow of hikers, travelers, and long daylight hours — keeping things busy, social, and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities

Reception

  • Answer phones and manage reservations

  • Welcome and assist guests with any needs that may arise

  • Maintain the safety and comfort of the hostel environment

Lodge & Property Upkeep

  • Clean and turn over guest rooms

  • Maintain all common areas

  • Handle laundry, restocking, and periodic deep cleaning

  • Perform summer property tasks, including:

    • Sweeping entryways, decks, and walkways

    • Keeping outdoor spaces clean and guest-ready

    • Light outdoor maintenance and general upkeep

    • Supporting overall property organization during busy periods

Breakfast & Bar Service

  • Set up and maintain breakfast during morning shifts

  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and inventory

  • Provide light bar service during afternoon/evening shifts

  • Prepare items for our daily continental breakfast

Sample shifts (flexible):

  • Morning: 6:30 am–10:30 am or 6:30 am–2:30 pm

  • Evening: 2:00 pm–10:00 pm or 5:00 pm–10:00 pm

Job Type: Part-time or Full-time
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour

Work Environment

Summer at the hostel is busy, active, and social. Ideal candidates are:

  • Comfortable being on their feet for extended periods

  • Able to handle a fast-paced environment with frequent guest turnover

  • Willing to jump between tasks and help where needed

  • Friendly, adaptable, and team-oriented

  • Energized by working with travelers and hikers from all over
